Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Konomic. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Service description
Konomic provides online PDF tools and related services through konomic.io and its subdomains. Our service includes free and paid tiers (Pro and Business) with different feature sets and limits.
2. Account registration
You may use most basic tools without registering. Some features (Sign Request, dashboard, API access) require an account. When registering you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current information
- Keep your password secure and not share access
- Notify us promptly of unauthorized use
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
- Be at least 13 years old (16 in EU jurisdictions)
3. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use Konomic to:
- Process content that is illegal, infringing, or violates third-party rights
- Upload malware, viruses, or any harmful code
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service
- Bypass rate limits or tier restrictions through automation
- Resell access to Konomic without a written agreement
- Process content that violates GDPR, HIPAA, or other privacy laws unless you have proper legal basis
- Use the service to create child sexual abuse material or other abusive content
Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
4. Payment terms
Pro and Business subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing you authorize Konomic and Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled. Prices may change with 30 days notice.
5. Refunds
We offer a no-questions-asked refund within 7 days of your initial purchase. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion. See the Refund Policy for details.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refund for the unused portion.
7. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to the files you upload. Konomic claims no ownership over your content. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our service for its intended purpose. Konomic and the Konomic logo are trademarks of our company.
8. Data processing
By using Konomic you grant us permission to process your files solely to deliver the requested service. We do not share, sell, or train AI models on your files. Files are deleted within 1 hour of upload. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
9. Service availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party dependencies, force majeure events, and unforeseen technical issues may cause downtime. See our status page for current availability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Konomic and its affiliates are not liable for:
- Lost profits, data loss, or business interruption
- Damages exceeding the amount you paid in the past 12 months
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Issues caused by third-party services we depend on
Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations of liability — these may not apply to you.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant the service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. You use the service at your own risk.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraud, or abuse the service. You may terminate your account anytime via the dashboard. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days.
13. Changes to terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced via email and on the website at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the country in which Konomic is registered. Disputes shall be resolved by courts in that jurisdiction. EU consumers retain protections under their local law.
